What is MEGAquest?

This home quest is an exciting adventure game for children and adults: a ready-made set of cards with tasks and puzzles. When the quest participants find and solve all of them, they will find out where their Christmas gifts are hidden!

In this MEGAquest, we have collected an incredible number of tasks in a form of multipurpose set:

• for any company and children of any age
• for playing with one family or two teams
• for kids and grown-ups both!

You can also use the quest as an advent calendar while waiting for the New Year during 21 days. Give the child 1 card with a task every day, and when they have solved it, they will find a surprise – a candy or a small toy.

This festive home quest has 21 cards with ready-made task tips. The answer to each task is a word or picture, which stands for the hiding place where the next clue is hidden. The answer to the last clue is the place where the gifts are kept.

Difficulty levels

The quest has tasks of 3 levels of difficulty – 7 cards in each:

1. Cards marked with one snowflake are suitable for the youngest participants who cannot read – from 3 years old.
2. Two snowflakes mark tasks of medium difficulty – for children from 7 years old.
3. Three snowflakes mark more complex cards, they are suitable for teenagers over 10 years old and adults.

Who can play the quest and when

MEGAquest is suitable for playing at home or when visiting friends and relatives on Christmas day, New Year's Eve, or the morning of January 1. It can be played by one child, the whole family or a group of children, by one or two teams.

The quest can be organized by one adult who will need from 30 to 60 minutes to read the instructions thoughtfully, print and arrange the cards. The quest begins with a letter from Santa Claus, in which he briefly informs the players about the rules of the quest: to solve tasks and look for clues in order to find gifts in the end.

What hiding places are used in the quest:

1. For the first level of difficulty: a pot, boots, a cat, an iron / a book / dolls / cars, a shelf, a carrot and a hammer.
2. For the second level of difficulty: a chair, a jacket, a duvet cover, a towel, tea (kettle, teapot), a plant, as well as any place that you choose yourself.
3. For the third level of difficulty: a mailbox, a fork, a mirror, a door, a vase, a table and a wardrobe.

What you get when you buy the quest:

1. A PDF file with cards for printing – a color or black-and-white printer is suitable.
2. A PDF file with detailed instructions on how to organize the quest, explanations and answers for all tasks. We have included 5 additional active and creative games so that the whole company can have fun during or after the quest.
3. The first card for any quest is a letter from Santa Claus with the rules of the quest (in JPG format) and an indication of where the first hint is located.

What you need to prepare the quest

No additional props are required, and you don't have to come up with anything – the set includes ready-made tasks for quest:

1. Buy and hide gifts.
2. Print out the selected hint cards.
3. Cut them where required and hide them in the apartment according to the table from the instructions.

How to play

MEGAquest is as many as 3 quests in one! There are several ways to play it: you can go through all the cards at once or leave some for other occasions. You can even take task cards when you plan to visit someone, because the preparation will take only 15 minutes.

We have prepared so many tasks for the whole family to be interested in the quest:

1. Play one big game together (21 tasks) – it will take about 90 minutes to solve and search for all the cards. The whole family and guests participate in the game.
2. Make 2 mixed child-adult teams and divide the cards of various difficulty between the teams. Each team will have its own sequence of tasks and a separate place where gifts are hidden – there will be enough cards for everyone.
3. Organize a quest between all family members! For example: mom prepares 3 separate quests with 7 tasks, little Ann (five years old) goes through the quest with easy tasks with the help of her mom, eight-year-old Alex solves tasks with two snowflakes on his own, while dad does the three-snowflake quest. Three gifts are hidden in different places and each family member has the opportunity to find their own.
4. For a kid up to 6 years old, seven cards with one snowflake of complexity will be enough.

Use MEGAquest as an Advent calendar

Print out all the tasks and leave one of them in a prominent place every day: in the morning the child finds a card, solves the task, and then finds a candy or a surprise in the hiding place indicated by the answer! With this quest, you will be able to count 21 days together with your child and create a wonderful family tradition.
