"Gift search" quest description 

The ready-made script of the "Gift Search" quest helps you spend some exciting and fun time at home. The children’s task is to find a gift by following hints. They consistently find various tasks in the house or apartment and solve them using logic and ingenuity.

Each task leads to a hiding place where the next clue is hidden. The last clue leads to the place where the main gift or sweet surprise is located.

Searching for a gift at home is a great and memorable entertainment for children. You can turn an ordinary gift giving process into a real adventure! The quest is perfect for a birthday party or a cozy family evening with children and guests. It also develops logic, intuition, attentiveness, concentration and lifts up the mood.

Who can participate

You can play alone or with a team of up to 8 people. You can also pass the quest with two teams (not more than 8 people each) – in this case, use two variants of cards: children will play at the same time, tasks will be similar, but hiding places will be different. Each team will find its gift in their own hiding place. In this case, you need enough space so that the teams do not interfere with each other.

Where to play and what hiding places you need

You can play in an apartment, a house or a country house. Hints can be hidden in one of the following places:

• chair / mirror
• ice-cream (freezer) / fridge
• windowsill / tablecloth
• towel / blanket
• saucepan / shampoo
• oven / washing machine
• shoes / forks.

You will have to write two hiding places in the cards yourself. The gift can be hidden in any convenient place.

If one team is playing, use only one version of each card, if two teams – each will have its own answer.

Quest features

All tasks were designed especially for "Questiks". The difficulty level is meant for children of 11 to 14 years old.

There are 10 tasks in the quest: the children need to solve puzzles and decode ciphers, do sums, dance, show different skills and much more! All tasks are different and interesting.

Please note that two cards include QR codes that need to be scanned in order to complete the tasks. To do this, you will need a phone with stable Internet connection and a code scanner. If the Internet is unavailable during the game, all materials are duplicated in the quest folder – you can download them to your phone in advance.

What you get when you buy the quest script

On purchasing a ready-made script, you get a set of 4 electronic files in PDF format:

1. Two files with 10 tasks in each. You will choose only one option (or both for a two-team game). For one version of the tasks, you will need to print only 8 sheets.
2. Detailed instructions for preparing the quest.
3. Envelope template (if you want, you can hide hints in envelopes).

What you need for the quest

Preparing the quest is quick and easy. You will need to print out the materials.

Use a black-and-white or color printer and plain paper, or have the cards printed in the printing house in color on thick paper if you want to make the quest even more colorful.

To pass the quest, you need a phone with the Internet and a QR code scanner, a pen, two pencils, a box / a bowl for papers.

How to prepare the quest yourself

1. Print out the file with the tasks. Print the instructions as well, or read them on your phone or computer. Two cards will need to be cut.
2. Hide the cards according to the instructions. Hide the gift in the final hiding place. If there are many participants, make sure that everyone gets a little surprise.
3. When everything is ready, gather the children, explain the rules and give out the first card with a hint. The quest has begun!

Keep an eye on the children's game and help them if necessary. Take photos or video of the process – it will be a lot of fun!
